Land + Forests

Plant Trees

Trees capture carbon and produce oxygen that is essential to life on earth. I will support this important piece of nature by organizing or joining a community group to plant 100 native trees in my community, public parks, office location, campus or backyard.

Beauty and Personal Products

Beauty and personal products can create a lot of waste. I will spend 12 minutes learning about the beauty and body products I use to see if they are refillable or recyclable. If not, I will reach out to the manufacturer to advocate for those options.

What new insights did you gain about the skincare products you use? Did you reach out to advocate for refillable or recyclable packaging?

I learned how toxic and harmful most skincare products are; not just to us, but to the environment and animals who live here!

I learned that yesterday too, I was kind of glad I am not as into cosmetics and skin care as before. Now I just give up on beauty.

Always check your skincare items for natural products. Most importantly an eco-friendly, cruelty-free process check, is super important to yourself and the process for other people and wildlife.

The sudden shift, in the spirit contributing to action within our plant. Should be enough for us to realize how important it actually is.

My name is Aurora Maria Pikop, my call to action was inspired to help older individuals make there goals happen within being environmentally friendly. I decided to plant western red ceders for my elderly neighbor, Paul. I have volunteered for years at Fort Steven's; so the process was familiar. Within that process, I also cleared out rotten wood, putting it in the woods and his compost. I also decided to plant some wild flowers a couple weeks ago for him. I have a photo of me on the 3rd of April, of them fully bloomed! Paul is 100 today as well!
